Thanks, but I've got a Stax SR-X9000 on order. I have a clear preference for it over any other current or recent Stax models.
I demo-ed the X9000 and agree it’s phenomenal. Great purchase. It’s in fact on my next short list to get. But it depends on preference. The 007mk1 to me has a better bass, while the X9000 is more resolving and more precise in imaging (exceptional)

I'm sorry. I'm shocked that you used 430ha to drive the 1266. In my opinion, 430ha does not have enough power, I have used it for more than a year, and I also used different fuses and power cables to strengthen it. I think the most suitable combination for it is the hd800s, which is its limit.
The amplifiers I have used : v281→430ha→gsx mk2→mass kobo 394ii→rkv solaris → pass int30a→accuphase e380→mark 585→ luxman l509x, I really don't think the 430 is suitable for planar headphones
nonsense, one may think there are better amps today and I agree but the 430 has more than ample power to drive the 1266 TC

Hi folks, I have a possibly noob question, despite being in this hobby for a few years!

I was watching some videos on preamp, and people were talking about how some preamp makes the sound fuller and more holographic. But what if my amp already sounds full and holographic? In a different scenario, if I want to have a fuller and more holographic sound, why shouldn't I upgrade/change my amp instead?

Then, take this to an extreme, what happens if I have 10 units of the same amp/preamp, and chain them together, does that make the sound REALLY, REALLY full and holographic? What about 100 units? Is there a point where it's too much and it's going to sound strange?

What a rare sight to see that now a 50ohm 667mw amp is being defended to have enough power to drive the TC and Susvara.

❤️❤️❤️

the 430ha does 8w into 50ohm fwiw.

The image I posted is from the site itself.
Yeah, I know. it does 8w into 50 ohms, 1.33w into 300ohms, and 667mw into 600ohms.

Ironically this flips the conversation where if someone thinks 8w is still not enough power, then the lack of power isn't the issue.
So your view is correct no matter what the facts are.

The person already claimed he felt it was underperforming, and another felt the same with the ef1000.
Come on. It doesn’t matter what others think - you’re right.

Even if 99% of people think one thing, you are right regardless of what side you are on.

and then you use facts to support your argument. Then it’s pointed out your facts are wrong yet they still support your argument.

that is something else. It’s brilliant

It’s like listening to a politician. And eventually they lose their credibility

it’s brilliant.
keep posting.…..please.
