Like shock absorbers? Aren’t they just cosmetic since there are no vibrations from sound when using headphones.

These pucks turn micro-vibrations from a product's enclosure into heat, and make sure they don't bounce back. That's the rough guideline.

Wow that’s pretty high. I’m listening at <50 on high gain with the conductor 3xr. My environment is quiet though.
Sorry, I should have said 50 in my last post.

"Poor design"? Kindly allow me to differ

For me, it is like one raised eye brow on a hot date:

If you're wild enough about her, you might even find it cute and endearing, maybe even pay her an occasional complement for it... Personally, I suspect I'd be too busy with other things, most of the time, in this scenario to pay any attention to the eye-brow at all, raised or not...

By the way, did I mention that I was kind of wild about my Niimbus? But that is just me... YMMV of course:slight_smile::slight_smile::slight_smile:

Short version of all I have said above : In the looks department, the Niimbus currently sitting in my rack strikes me as a sleek, elegant, and generally "badass" performer, who has nothing to apologize for about the way it looks. No complaints from me whatsoever about its design. Again, YMMV
Has anyone compared the Nimbus to a high end tube amp like AMP AND SOUND Nautilus with Susvara? That would be interesting.

Well, I've decided to go for a new amp (trying the built in DAC as well.) Going to be trying it as both my speaker amp and in my headphone set up. At this point I don't know which set-up it will end up in. Anyhow, orders in, now the 5-6 week wait begins :)

I'm thinking its going to be sounding pretty great with the Susvara, will report back!

Cool, my dealer highly recommended this integrated amp. I look forward to your impressions.

Just wondering if anyone has experience using the Susvara with a Wells Audio Milo. (I'm sure the Headtrip would be better, but wondering if the Milo would still be satisfactory). I'm a pretty happy owner of an HE1000v2 with the Milo, but just dreaming of future possibilities...

I have the Wells Milo Reference. It sounds great with the 1266. The susvara is nice with it too, but if I compare to my speaker amp (purifi power amp), with the speaker amp I get better low end extension and detail, subbass rumble, and smoother highs. Mids are a toss up between the two. The Milo Ref seems to be a bit more forward and brighter with the Susvara, but in contrast it doesn't exhibit the same with the 1266. No idea why.

*edit
Overall, the Susvara sounds more relaxed with the speaker amp, and more exciting with the Milo Ref, but the highs can get a bit tiring after a while.

Burning in this beast. First one hour, this preamp really makes Susvara sings (paired w/ Bakoon). Just wow!

I simply don't like the pairing of Susvara and Milo Kozmo, too edgy, and kind of thin sounding. Something like WA5 has much better synergy, to have fuller sound with more sweetness to vocality.

However, I also don't think HE1000V2 sounds great through Milo, so I guess we may have different taste here.

I spent a week so far with this Bakoon AMP-13R paired with my Susvara. Here's my full impressions : https://www.audiodiscourse.com/2021/05/bakoon-amp-13r-review.html

Thank you linking this informative review. I’ve been living with the Bakoon-13R for several months now, and absolutely love it. I’ve been using it to primarily drive my Tonian TL-D1 speakers, and less often, my Focal Clear Mg headphones. It has a stunning presentation with both, with great retrieval of detail, timbral accuracy and soundstage. It is utterly grain free and non-fatiguing. It is as quiet as a graveyard through both the speaker and headphone outputs. Based on the helpful feedback in these forums, I am currently awaiting delivery of my own pair of Susvara’s. I’m very much looking forward to hearing them together.
