HiFiMan Susvara

The EF 1000 sounds absolutely perfect as intended by Dr. Fang. The Susvara with the EF 1000 is very closely on the sound of the Shangri-La and comes extremely close to the ultimate Hifiman sound of the 50K Electrostatic System. However, the Shangri-La sounds significantly different compared to the Sennheiser HE 1 and, for me, also appeals to a different target group. The design of the EF 1000 perfectly reflects its sound, powerful, very technical, sterile and extreme perfection but also coldness where soul is missing. A few years ago (before the Susvara existed) I talked to Dr. Fang in Munich and he showed me a prototype of the EF 1000 that still had wooden elements at the time. To sum it up, the EF 1000 doesn't have a warm, smooth tube sound , but it is an ultimate machine that strives for perfection without compromise.
Do you use the singled ended connection as opposed to the Bal XLR I hear it makes a difference??

How much are you going to pay? Because you can buy an open box susvara edition with 3 years of warranty for 4k, directly from hifiman shop. I had to replace the right driver after 3 months of use, and hifiman did, of course. Whatever would be the quality i wouldnt buy such a expensive thing without warranty. And if you are from usa you can buy a refurbished one with 3 years of warranty for about 3,5k
HiFiMAN only honors their warranty to the original purchaser.

True, but driver replacement is very swift and inexpensive.

Just proof of purchase--or original proof of purchase?
Or is the $300.00 driver replacement for anyone who owns the Susvara regardless?
HFM charged me $500. But they replaced the HPs. Out of warranty and for an old 2.5mm model.
Customer service sure seems to want happy Sus owners.

Hello friends! Maybe over the years there has already been a general understanding among forum users which amplifier/DAC is the ideal end game for susvara? I'm looking at Manley absolute amplifier now, is it worth going higher? And if so, on what device
The only thing you MUST consider is that susvaras are very inefficient, 83db at 60 ohms. Hence you need a lot of power and i think that manley marvel has not enough power to drive the susvaras. I m going feliks envy after summer. I think is priced more or less like the manley and is powerful enough.

Anyone know if hifiman will repair the wood on susvaras? I have a rather deep one and it bothers me a lot.
