I know this might be an unpopular take, but I’m just not convinced about upgrading the stock cable on my Susvara until I see Fang himself rocking one of those thick, glittering, fancy cables with his headphones. Every time I tried an expensive aftermarket cable with my OG, it always seemed to throw off the balance in one way or another. Right now, I still see it as an unnecessary expense. Sure, I get that certain cables might highlight specific aspects of the sound to suit someone’s preferences, but that’s about it. I don’t doubt that some of those $2,000-$3,000 cables could make a nice difference but it is important to keep in perspective the stock cable is quite nice.
It’s a bit like cooking—using the best, freshest ingredients will definitely improve the final dish, but it's also important to make choices specifically with the headphone in mind. Simply braiding a thick bundle of high quality wire and slapping a nice connector on it doesn’t necessarily convince me. I need more assurance that the cable is actually optimized for the headphone, or my skepticism will always outweigh any potential subtle improvements or emphases.

Yes, you cannot go by Zeos, especially as he is now hawking his own. I really wish reviewers would not do that, but I rarely watch them anyway.

I find the Sus cable to be excellent. I have compared to a number of top cables and have not heard any immediate difference. I have another to try now as well and will see if it makes difference. But the Susvara’s stock cable is excellent.

Not those, but with DNA Supernaut! Yes IMHO, the synergy between the two is fantastic. No limp dynamics with the Unveiled. Wide and spacious soundstage. I much, much prefer that over Envy stock / Unveiled stock combo

Yeah.

The punch and slam off the Audma is something else.

The Immanis begins to sound more like the TC

Makes me want to rebuy all my old headphones and try them again hence re-buying the TC!

Instead of using the dipswitch in the back to increase output gain, try switch # 1 which increases input gain by 10dcb. I find the result is a more solid sound sound with more bite, but curious to hear others experiences.

I'm hoping so because I just made the move. I have LCD-5 and love it, but am hoping for more technicalities and clarity. I love LCD-5 as a reference headphone though.

It should easily outresolve the LCD-5 and would actually sound way more correct timbral wise

dramatically better HP in pretty much every way..I owned the LCD-5 for a short time sold it quickly

The ZMF Aeolus has vocals that are extremely close to the vocals of the Susvara Unveiled. The Unveiled is brighter and has of course the way better separation, soundstage, details, speed and so on, but from a pure emotional and richness / timbre factor, the Aeolus is on the same level and they actually sound very close when it comes to the midrange. The Aeolus' vocals have the same tonality, intimacy and richness of the vocals of the Unveiled. Fascinating.

Have not heard the Unveiled, but the OG Susvara is much better than the LCD-5 imo.
