HIFIMAN SuperMini Impressions Thread

I'd love to go to some sort of Head-Fi meet or Audio Fest one of these days just to try new gear and actually be able to make a semi-informed decision on a purchase.  The Supermini would be great to hear with some of my IEMs at one of them...  perhaps I could just order it from Amazon and return it if I don't like it.

Does the Supermini have the ability to create your own custom EQ setting?

I have a HM700, and that was one of the big selling points for me.

If the Supermini also has that feature, I might consider an upgrade.

No, we don't develop any EQ settings for SuperMini. Do you like the sound signature of HM901? they are quite simillar.

If the supplied earphone is between the 400 & 600 range then I wld guess its of $100-$125 value.....and the mini is valued $275? And also not sure whats the target tuning fang aimed at?

I feel bad, if the supplied iem has no improvized cable compared to its siblings(thats is same cable) and its just included to promote the sales of minis, tho it might sounds good. :frowning2: I might even guess that, the 400 drivers are inside 600 shells?, but tuned to match the minis?.....

I also think the earphone might be just balanced re400, only painted black, since the shell of both re400 and re600 is practically the same.
But we need confirmation of course if that is true or not.

Considering they already have a RE400B, I doubt it's a balanced RE400.
