What is the Line Out pin configuration of the HiFiMAN HM-801.  I need to construct a coaxial [size=11pt]S/PDIF digital interconnect for the HM-801, presumably with a 4-pole 3.5mm plug.[/size]

The line out option in the HM801 is analog in nature to allow the internal DAC to feed an external amp. Is this what you are talking about?

I just found the manual for the HM-801 (I am in the process of purchasing the HM-801).  It shows "6)  Line Out - Use with 3.5 mm IC to bypass DAC and Internal Amp".  Given that the Line Out bypasses the DAC as indicated, wouldn't that indicate that the Line Out is a digital connection?

It must be typo. Line-out only bypass the amp module.

It appears that you are correct.  It was a typo.  Does anyone have the configuration for the HM-801 analog line-out configuration?
