I finally got the ZMF Auteur solids to clip properly on the HE6se. Man I like these pads on this headphone. So comfortable and they have a sound I synergy with the headphone that I am already loving

Feels like the HE6se is the pitcher pitching 100 mph, and the ZMF Auteur solid pads are a proper catcher’s mitt. Swap success

What pads are you referring to when you say Auteur solids? There are a number of different Auteur pads on the ZMF website

Not yet. I know I have several different ZMF pads (for my Eikon), so I just need to dig through my stock and see what I have.

Ori pads are awesome, not just on Hifimans. I've used them on some Fostex/Denon with great success.

Uhoh, haha. I am not familiar with driver crinkle. Are you talking about that crinkle sound that happens with the HE6se sometimes when you adjust them on your head/ears? If so, I’m not doing anything about that and didn’t think it was a concern other than an occasional noise bother

Ori lambskin is the worst pad sonically I've used on the HE-6 SE and HE-500 - out of 14 choices. Tiny soundstage, mid bass emphasis, lower treble softness. Had two different ones about 18 months apart. Just no good.

DCA Ether Angled - very integrated top to bottom, widest soundstage - even more with no or more open rear screens. Also not a fan of fabric, fenestrated, or flat pads. Ori lambskin is none of those BTW.

I don't have much to add to the earpad discussion other than: When I got my HE6se V2, I perused bagwell's research and went straight to the DCA Ether Angled pads as he recommends, and they certainly are a significant, dramatic improvement over stock.
