Which one was you looking at?  I've heard the mAmps from W4S they sound pretty good.  I was also looking at the Red Dragons at one point in time.  Never heard them thou..

One thing is for sure - those Class D amps  are small.  Can just about fit any place.  For those who are limited in space.

I am considering M500, enough for HE6 I believe.
My question is how you adjust the volume. ?

I'm sure you already know.  Just making sure.  Those are mono blocks, so you have to buy two.   Your DAC may have a volume control on it.  Or maybe a passive or a small active pre..

SPL Volume 2 = http://www.spl-usa.com/Volume_2_p/2612.htm

Goldpoint SA1X = http://www.goldpt.com/sa1x.html

That's just 2 examples.  There's much more out there..

If I were to go nutso with Class D, then I'd probably start considering those Hypex NCore modules...

Yape, I am aware that these are mono block amps, just didn't know how you can obtain any gain settings.

Luckily for me my mono blocks have individual gain controls. But I use Pre anyway.

I'm considering this, http://www.spectronaudio.com/musicianIII.htm, for my speaker system.  Any thoughts on how this mega wattage Class D amp would do on HE-6?  Even if I'm careful with volume, would I still need the adapter box?  I know it's not all about the wattage, but this amp seems to have the power/current chops to serve the HE-6 well.

I have used ASP1000 based Class D amps with the HE-6 and found no need for the adapter box. I also use an LDR volume control which gives very finely graduated control over the input level. As long as you are cautious with the gain; i.e., always start out at 0, you should be OK.

  To all:

What's your opinion regarding the Parasound amps with the HE 6? Enquiring mind wants to know.

Thanks

Have not heard an HE-6 on one, but I know Parasound is a quality company. You got a specific amp in mind?
