  How would Schiit Vali 2 or Valhalla 2 match with HE-560?
   


  Atm looking for some decant amp around 500usd (also not too big.. for traveling)

vali2 doesn't exist yet

To my experience the vali is good but the garage 1217 polaris is quite better.

I bumped into the thread in a search. I believe a lot of the 650 > 500 boosterism has to do with new product-itis. In a list of favorite/best cans the HE-500 has scored top 10 votes at a good deal more than the 560 - stock.

I believe a stock or modded 500 beats the stock or modded 560 comprehensively. Start with a Ether Angled Lamb pad from Dan Clark. Perform the Fuzzor mod, change from stock cables to O2, take off rear screens.
