God only knows how much underapreciated this amp is...the guy who bought it has actually a multi 10.000 audio set as main rig with huge electrostats and he found my particular headphone amp good enough to own and to pay double of what i paid for it last year..

.sooo or he is absolutely stupid and has To much money to spend...or he maybe found the right amp he never thought he would find for his headphones..being a hd650 and he500...he could have bought amps multi times more expensive then mine..or as u maybe would advice..use his dual mono endblocks to drive the he500...

But because of my rambling to my friends and the ramblings of one of those friends (who heared my evil 337) to him he got curious..and u know what happened... :D

But ur right..no more 337 talk anymore..but guys..try one..just once... Or at least read the last posts on the 339 thread..

I really really really really hope that my new amp will be so much better as my evil 337... The new owner said he heard lots of headphone amps..but my MODIFIED 337 just hit the sweet spot with his two cans...
Omg..i only hope i didnt make a BIG mistake selling it :xf_eek:

About my new amp.. I wont be mentioning it here on this thread..when i have more news.(.i will get in process pics if i am lucky..) i will open a new thread..just to save u guys my ramblings..yep..am learning :D

So if anyone would be curious..check around november for any blue circle audio threads

So for now..adios mi amigos..i will be quiet as i can be for now... So no more 337/toxic cables or hm602 talk anymore here on this thread :D

It is indeed a sad farewell. I will have to get you to endorse any of my future purchases to see if I can get more than what I paid for haha. But you do have a way of making me curious about the 337 amp...well yours in particular since you had it modified even further correct? Well anyway, goodbye Hifimanrookie's 337!

Dont u worry..he doesnt have the time to go into forums...

Well.i was always honest in that my particular 337 was special...never lied bout it..never made it sound better then it actually was in my posts..

My 337 was actually modified by a tube amp specialist for the previous owner ...he said it was modified to sound on its possible best...he even relocated the 2 powerswitches on the front to the back to minimize interference in the signal because of the cables connected! Can u imagine? Thats fanatism! ..

@hifimanrookie,  joking aside,  I personally would never sell the 337 if I were you and indeed If I loved it as much as you do.  It's not easy finding such synergy.
You might have regretted your decision by now.

If I loved an amp that much I don't think I would / could have sold it.

So what are you listening to now?

My onkyo speaker amp i use for my blue ray rig. It sounds cold and not fun at all..its more punchy yes..but no passions..no lush sound..its hard and cold...funny thing is..it sounds wonderfull on my 6+2 speakers config...movies come alive with my set..but he500? Nah!! I hope the next 3 months fly by!! It must be a SS thingie that i dont like i guess..

Strange. Out of even the pretty affordable NFB 5.32 Amp/DAC the T1 is not bright at all and that is a solid state system. The WA7 is warmer sure, but neither sounded all that bright to me.

The NFB 5.32 is a warmer solid state however.

I have to be honest, I really question the credibility of the poster when they make blanket statements about the T1 being bright. Most amps can't swing enough power into 600-1400 ohms, which makes them sound bright, typical case of not enough power and under-damping. If you look at the overall FR graph of the T1 (peak included) it's actually not bright at all.

I believe the general consensus is that the T1 is a bright headphone. Regardless of amplifier, the overall sonic signature is very treble tilted. I owned a pair for a long time, and regardless of the amp, it was always bright. I did enjoy the sound quite a bit, but on some days they grew irritating and made me reach for my Mad Dogs.

Honestly
I am one amp kind of guy..as i am also one headphone kind of guy (except for my gaming headphone)..i dont see the point in having two headphone amps...or headphones for that matter..and honestly..the price he offered me was to good to let it slide... I would be a fool if i did.. :D

You should have kept it for a HE-500 rig for when you have the HE-6s. It does sound like you did well out selling it though.

I'm disappointed you won't be attending the 'oktober' meet, not only was I hoping to give the 337 a listen but it would have been good to bear them with different cables and speaker amps. Are you sure you couldn't be persuaded to come along?

Dear Head-Fi'ers !
Is it worth to go for Schiit Asgard 2 with HE-500 ? Currently HE's are working with my Nuforce HDP and the sound is huge improvement over my last rig. I bought HE-500 3 days ago and they are really rockin', but I think I want more ! I know a lot of you will probably say that Lyr will be better choice, but my wallet have anorexia

so Lyr is a no go for me (for now

I think he meant use its speaker terminals to power the HE-500s via a adapter. There is a thread about it. Here is a post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/629352/he-500-lcd2-d5000-dt770-sr80-on-a-speaker-amp-emotiva-mini-x-a-100-project/75#post_8847491

BTW I believe the thread starter also managed to fit a 1/4" on his mini-x... Shhhh...don't let hifimanrookie hear us talking about the emotiva..
