I got mine and man I have to say the packaging made me feel like I bought a 1k headphone. I will post pictures later when i have a nicer camera rather than my phone camera. But I am currently listening to Cafo- Animals as Leaders and it sounds kinda boomy on the low end but might be the song.

Yep, jamming out at home right now.  iTunes/Amarra to NuForce uDac2 to 400i.  Really good.  Later will plug them into Bifrost/Valhalla2.
 
Edit/added:  Thank you HiFiMan for this tour opportunity.  Auditioning at home over a period of time can't be beat.  I would think that the "option to buy" will be exercised by a number of these tour volunteers.  Smart for you, convenient for the customer.

Got my tour unit from DHL today as well. Very light, compared to HE-400 it's more comfy and still has a very nice Bassy sound which I love.

Time to do their recommended 150 hour run in.

There is some deep purple in there.  I'm holding them now under incandescent light, and then under LED light, and the purple is there, in both lighting conditions.  And it's real purty too.

The chrome like paint makes me sad because it makes it look dirty all the time.

150 hour burn in time wow did not think it would take so long. But after reading up on other similar headphones, 150 burn in is about right. Thanks for the heads up.
