New Head-Fier
hey I have a question if arya stealth ver still has the planar haze thing like arya v2?
Can you elaborate on "planar haze" ? I haven't heard the Stealth but have experience with the V1 and V2 and have no idea what haze you're referring to. Neither headphone version ever sounded hazy to me in any way. What frequency do you hear this haze in?hey I have a question if arya stealth ver still has the planar haze thing like arya v2?

Lol Planar Haze. Curious, how does one hear Haze specifically? and how does planar haze differ from a dynamic haze?hey I have a question if arya stealth ver still has the planar haze thing like arya v2?

Our ears differ. To me the Arya always sounded very clear and exciting. Arya peaks never bothered my ears and I'm using a V1. I gone through quite a few planars.. can't say I've ever heard anything I'd describe as a "haze". I suppose I'm lucky in that regard because I'm able to just enjoy planars more?planar haze there's many explanations for it but here are some you can pick from
usually most hifimans including arya has a very wavy fr where it has many mini peaks and dips just wavy
another way to call it is how planars generally have issues in their csd where it's abnormally high in certain areas "ringing"
and another is the "ortho wall" thing
these might be related or might not but just stuff people label it as
to me arya sounded unnatural and well hazy

Yes. I also need air in the upper treble range, especially for someone like me who is less treble sensitive and coming from hd800s and Etymotic ER4XRI also need a good bass response. I'm glad that I got V1, not V2
It has been my 3rd day with V1. I'm loving it so far. I'm looking into the Audio-GD D28 amp as you recommended. They have a weird website
Should I get a full option? Do you think this also has a good match with hd800s for classical music? I'm planning to use hd800s for orchestral symphony music and everything else with Arya. With my current amplifiers, the default single-end cable worked better than the balanced one. I meant music sounded better and smoother with single ended cable. So I'm thinking that my current amplifiers seem to have limitations with Arya v1.
You have helped me a lot! Thank you again!
After some research about Burson Class A amplifiers, I recently purchased Burson Soloist 3x Performance. I never tried a high end amplifier before because I didn't believe in many differences. Oh my... this was real. Simply, I'm listening to them in a different league now. It opens Arya's sound with almost a full potential. The same thing has happened to my 800s too. Thank you for your help again.I feel the same way. I also own an HD800S and prefer the Arya considerably for the majority of the music I listen to. Like you put it.. HD800S is an impressive but clinical experience while the Arya is just so full of soul.
Btw.. I edited my post to include a bit more info on the v1/v2 differences. I feel like the v1 had a better extension and more air in the upper treble range. I think they killed some of this on the v2 when they fixed the peaks but it’s just another piece of magic I recall was missing on the v2.
I hope you can try the Burson out.. Planars seem to respond really well to Class A amps in general. I also highly recommend looking into the Audio-GD D28 amp.. it is a BEAST for the money. The price/performance ratio is just outrageous… It’s basically in some ways like a Burson Conductor 3XR for only 850$ lol.. even their sound signatures are very similar (but you can’t roll the opamps and the dimensions were an issue for me). Great DAC on it as well.. just crazy that’s it’s only 850$..
Glad you like the Burson! It’s true.. they are outstanding amps with a lovely house sound signature and perform really well for the money. I do recommend buying some opamps and playing around with swapping for a different sound signature. To me, this is one of the biggest reasons I went with a Burson. The stock V6 vivids on my unit are amazing at producing crystal clear extended highs with an emphasis on soundstage while the V6 classics produce smoother highs with an added emphasis on midrange texture and slightly more romantic low-end bass (analog type of sound). It’s in some ways like having 2 slightly different amps in 1 package for just an additional couple hundred $). Try it out sometime… I bet you’ll fall even more in love with your amp than you already have so far =].After some research about Burson Class A amplifiers, I recently purchased Burson Soloist 3x Performance. For some reason, they also sent me a 4 v6 classic optamp for free. It was in the box. Vivid opamp is amazing as you said. I will definitely try it out after some time. Burson amp sounds even better after 100 hours of burn-in. I don't even want to go outside. I just want to listen to music all day long everydayGlad you like the Burson! Very interesting. I've been modifying planar headphones and planar speakers before that. Lately tracking down CSD issues and using slight EQ settings to relieve them.planar haze there's many explanations for it but here are some you can pick from
