Im starting to think Organic may be the best headphone I’ve ever owned.
Nice man, I’m also doing the upgrade after our convo. Very excited to try them once I finish sending in my non-stealth Arya.Im starting to think Organic may be the best headphone I’ve ever owned.
Looking at the frequency responses at Post #10,667, you could at the minimum put a PEQ peaking filter with a center frequency of 1.7 kHz, a gain of 5 dB, and a Q factor of 2. Alternatively, you could use that frequency response as a reference for graphic EQ, ideally something with variable bands like Equalizer APO, adding the EQ points that would push that region up toward the Harman ear gain. Trying the oratory1990 EQ or the PEQ I suggested in that post would have the same effect, but would also adjust the bass, midrange, and treble.Yes exactly for me.
Do you have any EQ settings to bring the vocals forward? I would like to try.
I did these adjustments along with what you suggested in the mid roll-off, and I'm really enjoying the result, with the 1.7KHz setting the clarity in the mids is improved, vocals a bit more emphasized, and it becomes a bit more neutral, the separation of instruments is clearer, more analytical but with less body, without this adjustment there is more body or musicality, but at the same time it is more congested.Looking at the frequency responses at Post #10,667, you could at the minimum put a PEQ peaking filter with a center frequency of 1.7 kHz, a gain of 5 dB, and a Q factor of 2. If I were you I'd look for a hekv2. Might be perfect.Resolve has confirmed what the other graphs have that the Organic is a considerably brighter sounding headphone compared to the Stealth.
The Arya Stealth to my ears was already on the cusp of being too bright so I’m a hard no on the Organic. The fact that I’m already seeing multiple units on the second hand market available and all of those sellers complain about the brightness is enough evidence for me to not be a buyer.
Is what it is. Maybe I’ll wait until the V5 Arya.
I’ve got a HE1000V2. It is perfect. It’s actually the best HiFiMan headphone I’ve ever owned and definitely better than the HEKV3 Stealth. If I were you I'd look for a hekv2. Might be perfect.
I have a very hard time with upper mid range treble. Like the Elysian/Effect Gaea made me want to die.
No issues for me with Organic there.
HE1000 V1 - 2.5mmDamn all these HFM 1000 versions are so confusing. Can someone list in order of release all the different HEK(1000) versions? V1, V2, V3? Stealth being different than SE (not Stealth Edition?) etc. In order of preference (or timbre) is OK too.
You don't need EQ for the HE1000se.I’ve got a HE1000V2. It is perfect. It’s actually the best HiFiMan headphone I’ve ever owned and definitely better than the HEKV3 Stealth.
If I was into EQ I’d get an HE1000 SE.
I think it’s a matter of preference. Your whole collection is a list of my nightmare headphones. All are SUPER bright to my ears. DT880 and HD800S in particular are crazy bright. You don't need EQ for the HE1000se.
Thank. Watched the above Arya vid. and on the headphones homepage it's called the V2 Stealth which is what I guess you call the V3 Stealth? It gets confusing easily.HE1000 V1 - 2.5mm
