Hi, has anybody compared the V3 version to V2 version? I have a theory that Hifiman might put the units from Edition XS to V3 version (the spec looks similar)
V2 is supposed to be loud with an iPad, how about V3? My OG Ananda has sensitivity 103 and I'm a little worried

i just thought do we have Hifiman officials here to explain what's happening, Hifiman have no other HP with such specs so the box is unique, maybe it's counterfeit product but why do they have those specs on the main product page, https://hifiman.com/products/class/2
this page only refers to https://hifiman.com/products/detail/317
someone should explain, changing MAIN specs without notification is serious thing
Hi looks like the spec is what they call V3, the sensitivity has been decreased from 103 to 93, and do you find it's more difficult to drive? I had V1 OG Ananda which can be easily driven by an iPad, have you tried V3 on an iPad or MacBook and does it produce loud enough sound? Many thanks in advance!

I had my Ananda SM since January 2023, Serials number: 2201XXXXX. Coming from Hifiman Sundara, I really enjoy the performance from my Ananda, they sound absolutely fantastic. I tried not to pick faults, just enjoying my music. I had the strange specifications on my Ananda SM box. Anyone had that?

This is usually called the "V3" Ananda, a silent revision they did. I don't think it changed anything though.

These are $399 new on Hifiman store. They also have refurb for $349.

I'm still debating whether these are worth trying, given that I own a Sundara and Edition XS. I like both of them, but if I could somehow meld what each one does well into one headphone that would be the dream lol.

$399 seems like a nutty price for something that launched at $999 and was $799 for a long time. Tempting...

Apparently the XS and the Ananda are very similar in sound. Then again, for $399 it might be worth it and you can sell off your XS probably for more than the cost of the Ananda
XS is tuned in more of a "V", bit more bass esp. mid bass, and a bit more treble. The Ananda is more accurate IMO, and fixes two of my big issues with the Ananda OG - addressed by the Stealth: better bass impact and less treble emphasis making it a bit darker, although it still sports that open, airy somewhat bright HFM signature - which is hardly dark. I still think its short of harmonic richness and very fine details which cost more or a lot more $.

If you like big stages and generally clear sound at that budget I can't name anything better. But if timbre is your thing and you have an OTL tube amp the HD-600 wold be a better choice, or get both and have most music outside of heavy basshead stuff taken care of.

Do you think the Ananda Stealth is closer in tuning to the Sundara than the XS? I prefer the tuning of the Sundara but love the staging of the XS.
