Sorry about that.
Thanks for your help here. I've been occupied with some heath matters but I'll try to get in touch with the contract provided and hope I can get it working again.

For those with the RS6 since launch, how is the battery? How much hours of use are you getting?

Any tweaks for better battery life ?
I've had mine since March, 2022 and currently get ~ 5-6 hours playing high res. files at moderate volum,e via 4.4 mm balanced headphone output. Note I generally only charge to 80% as is said to be better for battery lifespan. Hope this helps. It's a great device.

Do you also stream ? If so, how many hours do you get ?

Yes, and I'm pleasantly surprised that the penalty for wi-fi streaming or Bluetooth output seems low, estimate 10-15% shorter battery life.

I'm starting to think I might reset my device and try again, I'm getting less battery life
May be worthwhile, I imagine it is possible that there may be other processes running that only a reset will terminate.

Had mine for about a year and battery is still going strong getting around 7 hours streaming music (High gain, 4.4mm)

I followed some android de-bloat advice early on and I think it made a difference - https://npaudio.boards.net/thread/243/hiby-rs6

I always also ensure there is no unnecessary android services running within dev settings while I’m using it. In terms of battery protection I try to avoid charging while using it, but if I do I’ll charge with low current instead of fast charging to avoid overheating the battery.

It’s such a fantastic device, especially with the introduction of PEQ and its capability to switch bitrate seamlessly for bitperfect playback (unlike Mac). It has almost become the core of my desktop & home audio systems too!

When using the Settings / Battery options - you can enable the Battery Saver (for longer operation between charges), and you can set the Max Battery charge % (to extend the battery's lifetime).
One thing to note about setting the max charge % - the RS6 needs to be powered on when charging, for the charge to stop at your setting. If it's powered off while charging, it will charge to 100%.
