I have been very happy with my R6 Pro. Thank you , soundblast75 for the HiFiGo info. Went there and ordered mine a few minutes ago. I have been waiting to order for a while. Looking at specs, I'm glad I didn't buy a R8. I'm expecting an improved R6 Pro that sounds almost as good as the R8 in a more handy size. We shall see.

Likewise, because the R6 Pro is superb. It's far from glarey. If anything it's smooth, a touch warm even, with a solid, robust sound. If the New R6 sounds as good as the R6 Pro with perhaps a touch more refinement it would seriously challenge the high-end with its feature set and speed.
I went ahead and bought it from HiFiGo, thinking I'll regret it and sell it right away, shipping on Tuesday, id be very surprised if i think it's good enough to keep over Alpha.

7-day return policy without restocking fee (but no refund for items on sale, that’s bad), 1-year warranty, tax and duty paid; for a China-based shop that offers such low prices those are very competitive terms. The EU regulations are even better, but for instance when I asked Amp3 they only offer 1 year warranty (EU mandates 2), same as another Spain-based seller.
