I would normally but can be a long wait for a UK seller to get new Hiby models and then works out more expensive too.

Yes to MSEB. Hiby does not have a parametric EQ. It does have a convolution plugin, but it is generally broken on R5.

Thanks for the info! Hey do you know if MSEB allows you to do a sub bass boost? Right now I’m using the iFi HipDac and I love their bass boost implementation (i’m just sick of stacking it with my phone, which is why I’m considering a standalone device like the R5).

MSEB has 10 settings. One of these is bass extension, which seems to be <= 50 Hz or so. I do wish there was a clear explanation of each setting in terms of frequency, width and gain (or a normal 10 band PEQ).

Right now I’m using the iFi HipDac and I love their bass boost implementation

Much appreciated for mentioning that feature and, although it's fun in general, one can eventually have enough of stacking electronics. Luckily wireless DAC/amps and DAPs make our lives very convenient these days

Yeah on my R5 OG I could never figure it out exactly. Maybe Hiby should make a tutorial or video.

I have R5 gen 2 in my shopping cart and just can't make up my mind. Will wait some review to confirm that the SQ is at the same level of my DX160 2020.
