Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP

I have read in a post that 600x600 embedded covers give no problem. It will be that most of my covers are not seen because they are almost all at 800x800? I want to shoot myself ... Is there a method to massively reduce the resolution of all those covers? There are many TB of music:sweat:

I used FastStone Photo Resizer a few years ago. Free and worked very well.

A lot of my album art is 1500x1500, and my R3 Pro Saber displays them with no problems. All my art is as tags, no cover/folder jpgs.

Mp3tag can do this pretty easily so fret not. Mp3tag is an audiophiles best friend as it can patch tag all your music
Unfortunately I don't think this will help here...
I was not referring to local playlist files, but to the custom radio.txt file, which can be filled with a list of URL's to internet radio stations. If I put in links to radio stations using Shoutcast (where the links end in .pls) these lines won't work, they give an "playback failed http error 0" or error -13, or a wait cursor.
I even tried an optional <URL>/;listen.mp3 format, which works in the browser on my laptop, but same problem on my R3 Pro.

See for example:
Shoutcast stations: https://directory.shoutcast.com/Search (clicking the download link of any station will give the .psl/.m3u options)
Radio.txt on Hiby: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/hib...ions-including-somafm-181-fm-and-more.931918/

So here's an interesting thing. I'm noticing that song titles with an apostrophe are adding spaces afterward, like this. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how to fix it? It doesn't happen on my computer, it's not like that in the tag, and it doesn't happen on my old DX50 either.

I just have add some albums with embedded art (600x600) to a formated micro sd, without any jpg files, and the Hiby shows all the covers.

The R3 Pro is a great little DAP. I don't think it can be beat at the 200 US price level. The R5 is an even better bang when it goes on sale for 300 US, which happens often. The R5 just takes everything great about the sound of the R3 Pro, and improves upon it in every way.
I prefered sound out of R3P and the design more than R5.

R5 gives you full streaming service support.

I'm forgetting what you've said in the past. Do you prefer the SE out of the R3 Pro over the balanced?
Balanced but not a massive difference over 3.5mm like some devices. I find balanced on my ZX507 and Fiio BTR5 much more an improvement over their 3.5mm.

Been trying to get a R3Pro Saber to try without importing in UK but no chance yet.

Got to love the size of the R3....fits in a pocket nice and comfortably

I do truly love the R3 Pro Saber, however I realized that I have just too many DAPs, and so I'm offering mine up for sale. Probably only about five hours of total use, and it's still like-new. The color of the unit is red. I will also include a red HiBy leather case, a $35USD value. PM me if interested and we can figure something out.

So, JerryHead, how many other DAPs do you have and which ones?

Given it's size, I love the sound of this but with wired headphones. Quite frankly, it's rubbish with bluetooth headphones - a stuttery mess.

Can anyone recommend a small DAP where the bluetooth transmitter works more than 1mm away from the headphones?

The Sony DAPs have excellent BT (and wifi) performance (A105 and ZX507). I own both.
