Hello, i don't know if someone can help me...
My Hiby R3 PRO is bugging.
When it's ON, it doesn't stop to boot and reboot in loop.
I took off my sd card, and reset factory my R3PRO...and i still have the same problem.
Then i've tried to update the firmware connecting with wifi...but each time there's a bug and i can't connect the wifi.
So, i've tried to download the firmware update i took on Hiby website, put it on the sd card to update the R3PRO another way...and it didn't work either.

Then i'm here... Someone has another solution? Or is my DAP dead?
Thannk you!

I want to know why I can’t connect the R2 or R3 via usb cable to my car and play music ? I prefer not to use Bluetooth. The error message I get is “can’t connect to Android Auto “ but we know these devices aren’t Android models .

It’s ridiculous I cannot connect these devices to my car to play music.

Download the firmware from HiBy website and put the file r3pro.upt on the root of microSD card. Make sure that R3Pro is powered off, if not, press and hold power button more than 10 seconds. Insert microSD with placed firmware file and then press and hold two buttons together: Power button and Vol+ button (Volume Up) until R3Pro is powered on and Updater V1.1 is appeared on the screen. Wait until update is complete.

What does your car “expect” to see on the USB port? A USB mass storage? A digital source?

It expects to see a digital to analog music transfer just like my phone does. My phone has a dac just like the Hiby does. It can play music , the Hiby cannot. My car does not have an aux jack .

Digital to analog music transfer through USB………. Are you sure?

AFAIK the R2 or R3 don’t transfer analog music through USB.

Well my phone that has a dac can do it.
I dont think Android Auto works with just any old Mp3 player. And just so you know, any digital device with a headphone jack has a DAC in it. Does your phone have a headphone jack?

Guess what, it doesn't have a DAC.

The real problem, though, is that the R3 Pro isn't an Android device and likely can't interface properly with Android Auto.

I would recommend you set the R3 to USB storage mode and have the car head unit read the files inside it to play.

Thank you for the detailed instructions. As the hiby rep I don't even have anything to add or correct other than "how did you go with that @Leotekre ? 😅

Doesn’t work says unable to connect to android auto on the screen. Both the R2 and R3 II say same thing so it’s impossible to connect as neither are android devices .
Well, if an Android auto connection is the only thing your car understands, it's only logical that a non android device can't connect to it...

I'm sure I'm not the only one that cannot make a wired connection to my car.
Well, if an Android auto connection is the only thing your car understands, it's only logical that a non android device can't connect to it...
well there must be something in the HibybR2 and R3 software that is telling my car head unit it’s a android device The R3 actually went to enable Android auto screen before it failed to make a connection
