Tested, works, however M2s FW 3.2 takes about x3 time to connect compared to previous versions of FW.

Thanks for mentioning it.
Downloaded it and can confirm that it works (i use it with the M2s.. FW 3.1).

First thing which pleases me was the crystal clear album cover. But after a few seconds it became as blurry as it was with the former beta i used.
Not sure if there is an option somewhere to change this.

Another thing I still face is that some messages are still shown in chinese language. Again I'm not sure if those can also be changed somewhere to English.
Btw.. I already changed the language in the advanced settings to English after i upgraded to the new beta.

Strange thing now is that - after i heard a couple of songs - I can only access the "music scan", "Quick guide" and "About" topics in the settings. All other options are grayed out.

Do i really need to register to have them available again?

AppStore version of HiByMusic now has Hibylink.
Strangely enough it says "beta" in "about" section.

Introducing HiBy Link for Shanling M1, M2s and M3s

Wanted to control your Shanling player over smooth interface of your phone? Wanted to smoothly change volume and songs on your Shanling player without need to bring them out of your pocket?

That and much more is now possible thanks to new HiBy Link feature!



With your phone and HiBy Link app you can control Shanling M1 and M2s in multiple ways:
1) Control playback and volume
2) Browse through folders, albums, artists, genres and songs loaded on your Shanling player
3) Add songs into your playlist
4) Edit playlists
5) Use search function to quickly find
6) View details of played files
7) Share currently played song’s info over other apps(for now supporting Chinese apps like Wechat, QQ, Weiboo)


Please be aware, HiBy link apps is only in beta testing, so some errors and problems might occur. We would be glad, if you can report any problem you find directly to us. With your help, we will be able to make this new wonderful feature smooth and stable.

How to install and set up your player and phone:
1) Download zip file from Shanling website or from Dropbox
2) Update firmware on your M1 or M2s with “update.upt” file. Use standard firmware update procedure.
3) Install included HibyMusic apk file on your Android phone
4) On M1/M2s go to “System settings” -> “Bluetooth” and turn on bluetooth. Scroll to “HiBy Link” and switch it to “ON”
5) On your android phone, turn on bluetooth and go to HiBy music app. Click on HiBy Link icon (second from right in top menu). Turn on HiBy Link with switch.
6) In HiBy Link app, click on search for devices and find your M1 or M2s player and confirm. They will pair automatically.
7) Now your devices are connected and your phone is in charge of your Shanling M1/M2s player!

Update your device to latest firmware to have full support of HiBy Link on iOS.

How can we update shanling m1?

Download latest firmware from our website or google drive and there is guide.

It's easy, just throw update file on mSD card, put it in the player and choose system update in settings.

Is here a way I can change the album cover from hiby link? I know I can search for the song's cover and lyric from the burger menu from the top right, but but when I check the cover I prefer and press "close" it just go back to the now playing screen, so with still the wrong/empty cover
