M17 definitely is in the high end class, not sure why the guide doesnt reflect this. Irony that the shanling with its outrageous price and lack of performance hits the top.
From what I gather the list has very little to do with performance, its based on price hence the M17 not being in the top tier.

And we can see that the M17 is in the last position of the Page of Premium/High-End... so obviously an High-End
So owners of M17, you can unstress yourself ^^

@alignJP Amazing work!

Finally someone put in the work to create a very useful "tool".

I wanted to create a database with all the DAPs on the market, but then I just gave up. Back in May, 2021, I created a short database for my iBasso DX300 review (link), and there I just compared DAPs that could be compared to the DX300.

With this being said, I am extremely happy to see someone who did the market research to compose a proper "database".

Good work. Thank you for this!

Just had a thought. If you wanted to add a different level of hierarchy to it in terms of say SQ you could add the scores the DAPs got from a site like Headfonics...just a thought though.....
Considering the number of people that didn't read the first post and see that they were listed via price (and not a score), can you imagine what would happen if subjective scores were added!

It was just an idea.......didn't say it was a good one! I guess you could put scores on to suit yourself if you felt so moved to. Anyway should be how they sound to you I suppose and in which case maybe it is better to leave the charts as they are then.

awesome, great work. I have the Fiio M15 and Sony NW-ZX507, so daps weren't at the top of my list of things to get. Looking at the chart, there are a few that interest me, especially the Fiio M17
