So basically I'm a noobie that hasn't really ever heard any good quality earphones. So far I've only used the apple earphones, skullcandy ink'd, and those $300 monster beats headphones that don't really sound special compared to anything else to me.  
 
So I've been reading up on iems and the SoundMagic pl30s have caught my interest since they are within my price range 20-30. Just wondering how is the bass on the pl30s compared to skullcandy ink'd and jvc marshallows? and while im at it the microphonics too

The soundmagic PL30 is a good choice. You should also check out the Meelec M6.
