Hi all,

Was wondering if adding a P-S coverter to the HF5 will have the same effect as adding P-S coverter to the ER4p since they use the same drivers.

I owned a pair of HF2 and previous owned ER4P with P2S.

HF2 and HF5 have nearly the identical sound, which has the lower end of mids enhanced to make it more bassy. While ER4P has more punchy bass, precise mids and better highs.

If you try P2S + HF5 with good source the sound is assumed to improved, it will be clearer and the bass will be tighter.

I tired my HF2 + UE attenuator with Korg MR-1, the SQ did improve but still not as good as ER4P+ UE attenuator or P2S. The main differences are the precision and the stereo vision.
