I don't see why not. A gift certificate is the same as cash, it doesn't represent any kind of a discount.

I noticed how the HF-2s have taken over the worry of when the HD800s will ship.

Anybody cancel their HD800 or PS1000 order to go for the HF-2?

I mentally canceled a PS1000 order. Okay, I justified the HF2 order over the PS1000 - which I wasn't really considering buying - because it, ahhh, saved me $1,500.

In my case, rather than opting for this instead of a higher-priced option (thus saving me $$$), the HF-2 offering is the occasion for me to make a purchase of another set of phones that wasn't previously anywhere on my radar (yep, the spontaneous generation of a purchase radar blip) - thus knocking my wallet down a notch unlooked-for.

OK, we're down to 10 days 'till CanJam. Let's keep those hunches and speculations crankin' out as juicy rumors (which are just as good as news - until reality hits at CanJam).

Shamelessly unbridled HF-2 speculation contribution:
Carbon nanotube conductors. Now, how used in the HF-2? Used in just the voice coil windings, -OR- used in the headphone cable as well? I got it!!! Used through the headband to enable the cable on this special edition phone to be single-entry without introducing ANY loss or imbalance of audio signal or power level between the two cups.

10 objective days = one year Head-Fi subjective time (at least)

I can confirm one thing for sure - there will be balanced HF-2s at CanJam shortly after the official launch at 10am.

Awesome! Instant feedback on how SE compares to Balanced. Thanks for being willing to perform surgery so soon.

That's unpossible, there are no objective days at headfi

I haven't seen this asked anywhere, although I think I probably already know the answer. Does anyone know if the HF-2 comes with a 1/8 adapter?
