Hello,

I am looking for some advice. The cable on these headphones is tiny and frankly proved to be flimsy. My friend already did some repairs on the cable once. I want to instead place a jack on the headphones. I was thinking something like a Mini XLR or a 3.5 mm connector that way I can just use a replaceable cable in place of the original cable. I would be turning them into my workhorse headphones so having a replaceable cable would be really nice.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Especially help sourcing parts in Canada.

Thank you so much in advance!

I would think a 3.5mm connector would be easier than a mini XLR and also cheaper. The thing is how easy are these to crack open? I'm not a headphone modder but like to make my own cables and have done a couple of simple mods that didn't require me to crack a pair open. If you can get them apart fairly easily then it shouldn't be that hard.

Yeah. I am not sure how hard it's going to be to get them apart. I am not too worried. Currently they are in a state of uselessness anyway so I figure that it's worth attempting to open them. I also have access to a 3D printer if I need to rebuild something. It won't look pretty but it will work.
