I am looking for a good pair of open back headphones for under 250 (325 and under with amp)
- I am going to be listening to EDM and Rap (bass needs to be prominent even though that is hard to find in an open back phone)
- If they could be comfortable that would be great...
- Under 250, 300 dollars is my top dollar

I don't know if you can find an open back headphone that would have a proper bass response required of Rap and EDM. All of the open backed cans I have tried, most certainly don't have a very bassy sound.

Hurry and purchase HIFIMAN HE-300/HE-400 while still in supply. 300 can be found for around $200 and the 400 for $300. HE-300 with Schiit Magni should meet your total budget. I would skip the amp for now and get the HE-400.

You can skip the amp for a while with the HIFIMAN products. They are efficiently designed to be powered by even most DAP's. You will sacrifice volume and fullness of sound.
