There's plenty of bass quantity compared to my MS-1's, but it's not at tight.  They actually work quite well for trance/techno/dubstep for what they are.  While listening to rock or metal, I tend to pick up the MS-1's over the 595's.

How is the bass with the HD 555s? I've read that it has good bass response but other people have said it's been lacking.
