I currently have the first generation iBeats. I need new ones because they are breaking, been washed, and the cable tangles way too often.

Which ones do u recommend on a budget that sounds good?

AKG K340

AKG K350

Paradigm E3m

Klipsch Reference S4

Audio Technica ATH-CKS55

Paradigm E2m

I'm leaning towards the E3m and E2m because of their cable. I really hate the wire on my iBeats because it's sticky/rubbery makes it very easy to tangle and a pain to untangle. I'll be using them when my phone and Fiio e17

What type of sonic signature do you prefer? I have yet to hear an IEM that sounds better than the Vsonic GR07BE.

btw, have you looked at these threads:

my music varies. I have pop, rock, and hip hop from different decades, so i don't really have a preference to sound signature. But in this case, i'm more worry about the build quality and the tangle-ness of the wires.

for your second link, it seems to says that the e3m are not worth full price and is somewhat bass heavy.

I'm buying my things local so my selection isn't that much.

Actually sonic signature preference is quite important. You might just not like a certain signature however good the built quality is. I made that mistake before and blew $150 on something I didn't like.

The GR07 built quality is quite good. The Tpeos is even better. I would say the built quality of the Shure SE215 is quite good and has detachable cable.

Judging from previous posts, it seems like u have no inputs on my selections. I would get the sh215 if I wasn't in school, so every dollar helps. I'm coming from a washed pair of beats so almost any iem would sound better. Also, I have a mini HiFi speakers at home so I don't need that expensive headphones anynore

That's because I haven't heard or read reviews about them. For good SQ, it doesn't have to be expensive. Check the reviews on Superlux iems and they are cheaper than Klipsch Reference S4

Take a look at the Inner Fidelity IEM review page, I think you'll find it helpful. http://www.innerfidelity.com/category/ear-monitor-headphone-reviews

the vsonic vsd1 and vsd1s seems to fit my range. Found a good price on ebay from a good seller, but i can't decide on which earbuds tho.

zamorin, which one do u think i should buy? Or should i go for the cheaper one? It's like 5$ difference on ebay.

EDIT: found this, http://www.head-fi.org/t/663709/vsonic-vsd1-vsd1s-reviews-impression-thread/1305

seems like VSD1 fits my genre with pop and rock.
