Help me choose components for my high-$$$$ system

I listened to Hirsch's es-1 over the weekend and it was eargasmic.

I think this is the setup I will get:
APL Denon 5910Ci
Singlepower ES-1
Stax Omega2
New PSaudio Premier PowerPlant
Blacksand Violet Z1 Powercords
Grover/PSaudio/VHaudio/Nordost IC
Rack
Tubes

For that kind of money I would lean towards having Klipsch custom build me a set of their Jubilees(Klipschorns on crack) powered by a pair of Wyetech Labs Sapphire Monoblocks or their Topaz 211C stereo amplifier and use the rest for a source.

Has anyone tried to mod cellphone for better sound?

If I would build a high-end system now for any price I would still choose Benchmark DAC-1 + PS Audio GCC-100 + AKG K1000. Crazy speed!

my lg cellphone crushes my brother's old sanyo so much in clarity that he upgraded to my exact phone. but now the battery isnt lasting for me.

have you even listened to other headphones patrick? i am sure electrostats would be even faster than k1000

I have only listened to HD590 and K501, the boominess makes me sick. I want electrostats without earpads like K1000.

The visit might not be a bad idea. You can audition both the SDS-XLR and several balanced phones, plus he has the HE90/ES-1 there. I'm sure he could rustle up some 02s also. An easier trip would be to contact Hirsch and see if he could help you out. I think he owns all your options. Good luck!

yeah, i figured he would have many amps and headphones on hand
one stop shop!

i have visited hirsch's a couple times and i tried sds-xlr (not recent) and es-1 and found the es-1 was better although it was different source and cables, etc. i am not sure he owns o2 as he dislikes them.
