I'm trying to decide on which earphone I should purchase, I did a lot of research and these were the two that stood out more. These two Earphones cost around 100 dollars and they had pretty good specs so its difficult to choose. Both of these earphones have a 2 year warranty as well. P.s: my music of choice is be hip hop Please tell me which earphone has best sound overall, build quality and which one is more comfortable. Thanks in advance

If anything please suggest something better than these two earphones in this price range if you really think it is much better than the earphones i picked.

The S4i will have the heaviest bass the SE215 will be more accurate. The mids of the SE215 will be forward and very smooth, the S4i will be not as smooth or forward. The S4i will have the most treble response but does have sibilance issues, the SE215 is a bit rolled off in the treble but is not bad and has zero sibilance issues.

Both are built well, I find the SE215 to be more secure in ear, they both are comfortable.

S4 is mad comfortable, but from comparisons with other IEMs, it doesn't seem to be worth more than 60$. Personally found it pretty good till I got my TF10s. SE215 seems to be superior from what I've read.

I just ordered a pair of Kilpsch S4's and I can tell you my impressions once I recieve them and after burning them in. I have heard the Shure 215 and Head Direct Reo and both very good and accurate. I think the S4's and more for hip hop and bass heavy music.

Hope that helps, Thomas

I have both sets. I find the Shure SE215 to be more comfortable but the Klipsch S4i has the adjustable controls for Ipad, Ipod, and iPhone which are great to have. If I could only have one, I would go with the Klipsch.

Old thread, resurrected. :) The Shure has iPod controls as a $45.00 option.
