I've got a friend who changed the stock cables on his FreQshows to a pure silver one. Clarity, soundstage and detail improved greatly. But it's a bit sharp and shrill on the highs. Fatiguing after awhile. So I was wondering, can a silver plated copper cable can be made to tame the highs and add a little warmth to the sound?

Heard the SE530 before, and could it be possible to have the silver to add a tad of clarity and soundstage, yet have the copper to keep that touch of warmth to the C3? by using silver plated copper wires, i mean.

Some DIY wire places carry combo twisted wires (Two Copper $ 1 Silver) but not in this thin Gauge.
I think that the best we can hope for OFC. One thing to try would be take silver from the montors to the "Y" (as this is the area of least motion) and then terminate to a 3.5 stereo jack.
From that point on you could use any standard 3.5 to 3.5 copper cable
This should give you the benefits of both Silver and Copper

Have you seen the cables for the IEM's from monster cable. I know not the best IEM's but the cable looks like it might solve the flexibility issue with silver cores?

Got my C3 yeasterday, i'm really happy with them!!!!
The sound is much better than my shure SE 420...

Hi all, does anyone know someone in the London (UK) area that does reasonable priced ear impressions. Even Boots and Specsavers are charging around £70-80 a pair. That's crazy. I've tried some hearing aid places etc and they're all about the same.

Any advice gratefully recieved.

I Did my own as well as my 10 y/o son's with the free impression kit Hearyourself sends. Both of our sets of IEM's fit perfectly the very first time

I got my C3 1 1/2 week ago. Enjoying it for almost a week. Now the LEft side of the monitor fits better.

Nice to here from you. Gald you re-do is fitting better. One thing I noticed is that if I don't use them for a few days, it takes around 20 min for my head to get use to them again before they get up to thier full potential.
Especialy since I recently got some new High End Circumaural cans for home use.
