Is it "safe" to use those on an iPod without an amp? I was told the contrary.
 
 

 
T51i has 32 ohm and tesla driver. It shouldnt be a problem, but amp/dac will ALWAYS make headphones sound better.

What about the 1350? A lot of people have recommended me those in other forums, but I have doubts on its use without an AMP, since it has 80 ohm.

My issue with Grados is a personal thing. They have exactly the opposite sound signature from what I like. They have no bottom end, and they are very forward in the treble and upper mids. Some people love them - I wish I did, but I just don't. If you compare the response of a headphone I really like against one of the most popular Grado 'phones, it's easy to see how they are simply the exact opposite of each other.

I guess the only way is to try.

I've been told that Grados like the SR80 are very good for genres like rock—which I listen to a lot. However, it's no ideal for portable use.

Could you recommend me something in that range, regardless your personal dislike of the firm? Perhaps I'll like it. Lol.
