I've tested my original Elrog 300B brass base (last of TM's takeover) on my Amplitrex 1000 and they're extraordinarily strong at over 3000 hours.
I should test my ER5U to the Mullard GZ34 but that means I need to put many more hours on the ER5U.

Good to hear. Thanks for sharing. The Amplitrex certainly gives you confidence in the tubes when they test high.

If you could also test the newer Elrog that would be great

I tested my ER300B and MO. Both pairs test strong, and fairly close tube to tube, on a Triplett 3423

The ER are very good, the MO are GREAT!

The ER is more of a very, very good "jack of all trades." If you can only afford one 300B set, on top of the stock tubes that came with your amp, you need either it, or the AN4300E.

If your budget permits the purchase of elite specialists, then the Mo is essential.

Is there any reason to purchase these over a pair from a retailer? Surely you could negotiate the 10% price difference with a retailer. Or is there a long wait for these tubes? I know there was a time when it was difficult to source the Taks, but then they became available again.

I'm happy that the retailer East of you doesn't collect US state sales tax and THAT is close to 10%

Warranty can be transferred.

I tread cautiously * when questioning the wisdom and knowledge of the KING of Elrog, but the warranty info stated on their website is for the original owner unless it has changed.

Their logic is that the owner may not pack them as well as the retailer for shipping.

While browsing Aliexpress today I came across a chinese tube manufacturer that I couldn't find any previous mentions of on head-fi - Golden Voice tubes with website at gvtubes.com.

They have four different 300B models, two of which are higher end models, "WE300B Plus" (first picture, $880 for a pair") and "300B-H" ($350 for a pair) which is described as a "replica lite" version and then two lower cost models "300B" ($150/pair) and "300B+" ($200/pair".

Yes, "300B+" and "300B Plus" are two completely different models, the latter being the top model.

They can apparently be purchased from their website and some of them are also stocked on one Aliexpress store ( Hifipart Store ), which also has its own website at www.hifipartstore.com.

Anyone know something about these tubes?
