Does anyone have days when certain headphones sound better than you remember them ever sounding?
Yesterday was a Grado SR80 day for me. The treble didn't seem as hot as it usually is on the Grado, and everything just seemed lively and perfect.
I wanted to give my ears a break from the treble of the Grados today so I reached for the AKG K240 Studio. Plugged directly into my laptop the clarity was lacking and the mid bass hump was too strong for me. Then I remembered how great the K240 sounds with the FiiO E17. Yep, more clarity, and the mid bass hump is more in control. Such a nice laid back sound. The K240 Studio + E17 sounds like a perfect match to me today.
