The Yamaha Orthos must survive! Best mids I've ever heard in any headphone. The Sennheiser pain is because I hate the price of the HD800. Having heard them, it only makes me want them more. haha

AKG 34 (Hurt) JUst something about the midrange and highs I haven't liked in any AKG I have tried so far.
Audio-Technica 31 (Heal) For the exact reason going the other way from the AKG's I heal AT.

Their builds are simple, yes, but I don't see them as "bad". The headband, for one, is never going to break, all the parts are sturdy, nothing feels flimsy, the wire's well soldered in (confidence-inspiringly, in fact), and anything that comes apart can simply be hot-glued back together. Honestly, the Grado build is one of the things I like best about them...it's simple & practical.
