Hey, has anyone tried to pair Pico Slim with UM3x?

I tried it with my ES3X at CanJam and really liked the combination.

I tried my ES3X with the prototype Pico at CanJam. The biggest improvement hands down, is the channel balance and ability to have a much larger range of volume control. Also, hiss was pretty much non-existent at all but the maxed out gain range.

HeadphoneAddict, how much improvement did Pico Slim give to your ES3X? Thank you.

The channel balance was a little better at quiet volumes and it was was warmer sounding than with the std Pico and a little smoother and less aggressive than my P-51 when compared side by side at CanJam. Otherwise it was very similar to my P-51 which I take everywhere.

I love the P-51 which is technically very good, so this is not a knock on that amp; but the Pico Slim with my highly resolving/detailed ES3X was a little more enjoyable, in a similar fashion as it is with my ALO Amphora vs P-51.

Justin will update the first post in the thread with any official news. And I'm sure there will be a new thread if there is to be an pre-order.

Has anyone had the opportunity to try a Pico Slim coupled to SE530s? If so, impressions please.

Further, has anyone had the opportunity to compare the Pico Slim with the Shadow? If so, PLEASE share.

Thanks.

Anyone who attended CanJam have the opportunity to sample both the Pico Slim and Shadow? Curious regarding "differences".

Seriously JiPod, did you not even bother to read the last couple pages of this thread?

The size of the Slim has been made final, and based on the information I have, here is a picture that compares the size of the Slim with 2 other things
