I get referred patients by psychiatrists, pcps, and neurologists for cognitive evaluations in order to rule out the presence of neurological involvement (e.g., psychiatric vs neurological causes for cognitive dysfunction; dementia vs pseudo dementia). Pays very well, which is good since I'm getting the sr009 and blue Hawaii amp soon!

Mine just arrived.

Already listening on my LCD2s. Very impressed so far.

I'm thinking about picking up these 9v rechargeables, they're under $10 for 2 and seem to have good reviews:

Pico Power has plenty of power on the included Duracells, I'm on medium gain and only at 10-11 o-clock on the volume knob with my LCD2s.

Okay all you lucky early recipients--those of us who still have not yet seen a shipping notice would like some inital impressions to hold us over while we wait!!!

I should be getting mine soon.  I placed my pre-order a couple days after recstar24, and he's got his already!

Hey MilesDavis2

Well I'm in So California too but that just shows that being first on list doesn't get it first. Like I said USPS over here sucks so no go today hope I get it before the weekend.  I got the notice on Sunday.  That's why I use Fed Ex mostly.  Was hoping to see it with mailman today but wasn't surprised that he didn't have it.

Got mine at work, came home and am listening now from the iPhone to some radiohead kid a with senn hd600.

Power output is not an issue whatsoever. Medium gain, tons of output and great punchy bass. Top end is excellent and the mids are very engaging.

First gut impression is that it reminds me of his GS-1 but not as dry. The gs1 has been my favorite headamp amp as well as one of my favorite solid state amps period but the pico power may overtake the spot soon.

NewMexiCat -- i think i had a run on silver and 3 silver enclosures were damaged during assembly and could not be used, which made a big difference.  i will update you ASAP.

Also as i am sure this is going to come up -- the volume knob is intentionally hard to turn as this is a portable amp.  if you want a "loose" volume control there is a teflon washer inside the amp that would be removed.

colors I am short on:
silver
gray
orange
purple (was never part of batch #1, will be in batch #2)

Justin

Can you please confirm if I am still on the list for my silver one as well?

Thanks

Justin,

I remember you mentioning the knob before. It's a wise choice, you don't want it to suddenly pop full volume. I think the switches are perfect as well, doesn't stick out to where it could just change gains or turn off in your bag.

I will also add pics don't do it justice and the level of craftsmanship is unreal. It is clear Every single detail has been scrutinized. I also appreciate that it came loaded up with batteries so I could start listening right out of the box as well as an extra set of battery cover screws - as an old sr71 owner which was my first amp and didn't have those extras I really appreciate it.

I'm now trying it with IEMs on low gain, sounds great with those too. I hear no noise floor or anything. :)

I was tracking the package since monday and this morning, it was being sorted in Long Beach and got home at noon today and the got the package. You should probably get your by tomorrow. Have you tracked it? It should indicate present location. Hope you get yours soon. I am not even using the solo and the clarity and power makes me smile. Listening to " Friday night in San Francisco" by McLaughlin, Dimeola, and Lucia. Don't need no solo on this one.
