The TH600 is incredibly fun sounding. Reminds a bit of my TF10, with the boosted mid bass and tipped up treble. It's not a neutral sounding headphone by any means, but it's quick, has a black background, and lots of slam. Vocals are recessed and bass can be a bit loose at times, but that's a reasonable tradeoff for the speed and impact you're getting.
 
I've pulled the trigger on a TH900 reterminated to 4 pin XLR. Justin was willing to throw in the cable mod gratis; I only ended up paying an extra $20 to upgrade from the standard Neutrik connector to a heavy duty one.

We did so much better with the HE-400/500 and LCD's (except for the last guy) Not sure why we aren't talking like we did last time. Average time was 3-5 days not 2+ weeks

I got the mailing address for the TH600 over the weekend and it went out this morning. It should arrive at it's next destination in 2 days.

The TH600 doesn't pretend to be neutral, but it's got good detail retrieval and a sizable soundstage for a closed headphone. If you listen closely, you can hear a bit of bass bloat/bleed, but TH600 can keep up a fast pace, much quicker than my boomy old D2000 and about on par with the open flagships. 
 
The earpad material is also a big improvement over my old D2000, which used to heat up my ears way too fast.

Heard LCD-X driven by $4000 RWA Dac/Amp today at NYC meet and while they sound way better than LCD-XC driven by Woo Audio WA5, I don't think they sound much better than HD800. I think it's just will be sound signature preference while LCDs are as usual heavy and uncomfortable. To me ugly looking Abyss sound way better than LCD-X/XC and are more comfortable than LCDs
