Although I've never heard the HE-60, I've read somewhere some that have, and have heard them with the BHSE, say they sound their best when driven by that amp.

It's said that Mullard/Philips xf2 double getter's are regarded as the best sounding EL34's ever made, but because I've had dealing's with WV's, I wanted to get tubes from there, but they only had Mullard xf4's.
The good thing about those xf4's from WV's though, is they were unused and got directly from the Mullard factory in Blackburn.

I didn't put the full name of WV because I felt it would be advertising, which isn't supposed to be allowed on head-fi, however the name of that place is WatfordValves, but be quick reading this post before it's removed.

P.S. They sold out of those xf4's though.

The HE60 is fine out of both the blue hawaii and the megatron, I think the implication is that you just need to put something strong in front of it
 
I prefer the pairing to the megatron and sigma

Quick question: placed an order about 7 months ago and about a moth ago I heard that my amp was going in production. Since then have not heard anything back from Headamp. Has any of you heard back from them over the last few weeks?

I placed an order in may 2014, choosed options / color definitely in november 2014, had some MP with Justin about those choices, but never requested (and never got) special infos about the status of the batch. Justin's word is scarce, but he does useful updates on this thread from time to time

Your status would be the post from Justin above from six days ago. Unless you ask him directly either in person or on the phone I don't think he will send you an update on your individual order.
