If doing a bias adjustment can you use it while waiting an hour or do you need to leave it on without using it? Do the headphones need to be connected before adjusting?

Justin once told wrote to me as I inquired about bias adjustment for my amp. He said I could swap out tubes and didn’t need to reset the bias. Maybe he’ll chime in here to confirm?

I was researching bias adjustment on google and it stated it should be done every 3-6 months. I found YouTube video of someone adjust BHSE in detail. Do adjustments 5 minutes first then a second adjustment in 1 hour.

Justin website claims 1 to 2 weeks for BHSE is that accurate? I’m m not trying to bother Justin as he is always working.
I’m hopping the VOCE and BHSE best out my 1266 TC. Mention this a lot but I have bass issue imbalance on 1266. One of the special qualities on 1266 is it spacious sounds coming from far away. I’m also inclined to purchase 009s if estat is my thing.

You paid a lot of money for the BHSE so it’s no bother to give customer service to you, I’m actually surprised he hasn’t responded to your posting.

I’ve been good customer I buy pretty much all my stuff from him. I like the company a lot. I’m not in a rush as I am moving to new house so no rush. Just wanted to see if the website is correct only way I could see 1-2 weeks if he has them pre built on shelves. People waiting 4-6 months on one post. Being this is my first estat setup I’m really excited and would be nice to have it when I move in 2 weeks. New toy for new house.

It’s a great set up especially with the 009s. Enjoy it!

I have had my BHSE for a little over 6 months. It took 6 weeks exactly from order to delivery. I was happy to wait because it took me over three times as long to do the research and decide to buy it....no regrets. I paired it with 009S and love it! After owning Lambda Nova Signatures with an SRM-T1 for over 20 years I thought I would get an incremental improvement; but I was completely unprepared for how much better it was. The other gear in my stack is a Berkeley Alpha DAC, PS Audio Power Plant 3, PS Audio Powerbase, Bluesound Node 2i, and a Schiit Modi Multibit just for USB and Youtube.

Oh, and I have called Headamp a few times with questions and Justin has always answered the phone personally and by the third ring. So no problems from this happy customer. I just ordered an L700Mk2 and a D10 because I want to go mobile and I miss the Lambda frequency response a bit. It's quite different from the 009S.

Here are Justin's thoughts on bias.

I don't see how it's humanly possible for the BHSE to be ready in 2 weeks. Maybe Justin has superpowers.

After offering the BHSE for many years, my experience has been that the adjusting of the 'bias' (really DC offset and balance adjustments) has been more likely to cause problems due to incorrect adjustment methods, or possibly bad measurement equipment, than just leaving it alone. STAX amps, both solid state and hybrid, have the same adjustments that are internal to the amp and require the cover to be removed. With proper use I have rarely seen an amp that needed to be adjusted even after tube changes as long as the tubes are in-spec EL34/6CA7.

The amp is bueatiful and can’t believe how heavy the power supply is. Now I’m just waiting for my two estat to arrive. Fedex messed up.

This amp is amazing the Voce and SR-009s are spectacular the SR is my favorite as it has more low end then the Voce

I’m comparing 1266 tc to SR-009 and Voce I’d say the two estats are clearer window into the music but the 1266 has the upper hand in low end pressure. But bass on the estats are more detailed. I even find the bass on HE1000se more detailed but if you want powerful bass spend money on 1266 TC.

So just wanted to post a tube roll of Siemens EL34. They are amazing tube that I was looking for in sound signature. They made the bass go from 5 to 8. I found the Mullards to have no sub bass impact or much depth. The 550 dollars I spent was well worth it for this upgrade.
