It takes dorks to write up on toms hardware about headphones and super dorks on head-fi to contradict them

Koss KSC75s
Grado SR60(?)
Sony MDR-V6 / MDR-7506
Senn HD280(?)
Alessandro MS1
AKG K81/518 Djs (for sheer FOTMness? I kid. They're excellent)

anybody want to add some IEMs etc?

Oh, and since the MS1's are in there, why keep the SR60's?

Apologies. iM716's shall forever stay on my mind.

Yeah, I was wondering the same on the SR60s. I suppose if we're trying to restrict the list to 10, we can trim the fat.

EDIT: The iM716's seem to be above $100...?

That's a matter of opinion really. I prefer the SR60 over MS1.
Also add HD485 to the list.

Absolutely; both MS-1 AND SR-60 belong on the list for their own reasons!

....I like the cable on the SR-80 though.....they'd work with comfies too, and still be within the $100!

*ducks, exits room*

I seriously doubt that. If its anything like the V-150 (and I'm sure it is), I'd rather listen to the Beyer 250-250's.

What's with people recommending bad headphones on this forum lately?

Another vote to keep the 280's... They provide arguable the best isolation of a non-IEM(in this preice range) and many people simply don't find IEM's comfortable. Oh and they sound pretty damn good for the money and are easily driven to boot....

I got mine new for 65 shipped.

Another vote for the Marshmallow - JVC FX33.

Best bang for the buck. Can another $20 pair of headphones even come close? ($10 for me with a Best Buy coupon)
