O.K I would like to know the law (rules) concerning buying and selling. Is it against the rules to purchase a product (in the For Sale Forum) at a bargain price, and then sell product for a profit. Also how should I handle a similar situation. Thanks in advance for all replies!

Depends who you are. Put one dollop of glue on the headband, sprinkle with glitter and re-sell with your markup. No different than wood cups or cables.

If you know someone obviously buying and selling gear in the forums just for profit (who obviously isn't a MOT) you should report it to the moderators.

With rare and/or discontinued gear, market value comes into play, but outside of those situations, if you're buying gear just to flip it, it is against the rules, and you can be banned for doing so.

The FS forum is for members to share and enjoy gear. It's for the hobby and for each other. It's not for anyone to set up a little business for himself, even if it's just flipping for one or two items (thinking about all those who wanted abuse the FS forum to flip T10s to just make a quick buck for themselves). That attitude really gets under my skin. Go sell stuff on ebay if that's what you want to do, but don't do it here.

What about flipping just to try gear out? Eg. I but something used for $200, try it and decide it's not for me, and sell at the same price I paid for it originally?
