HE-560 a good choice for me (to replace HD600)?

Day 2 with the HE-560, and I am in love

Tremendous detail, soundstage, transparency, bass extension, and speed.  The HD600 aren't going to see a lot of action!

Asgard 2 brings some nice warmth to the HE-560 sound

yeah, definitely couldn't imagine needing the HE560 and HD600.  Maybe an HD650 makes sense as a less trebly alternative, but to me the HD600 is just an inferior headphone to the HE560.  *ducks out of the way of the legions of HD600 fans*

Definitely agree. HE-560 is like a direct upgrade to HD600 for me in terms of everything.

HD600 is preferable to HD650 only if your tastes center on classical—it's more neutral, and has a bit more air. Otherwise, the HD650 fulfills the euphonic needs while the 560 takes care of analysis.

Hi there, I have the HD600 and the Alpha Primes. They are quite different. The sound stage is larger on the Senns since they are open but for a closed back MrSpeakers simply is unbeatable. However, if you want more separation, I think the HD600 and HD800 do the best jobs among all. Again, no other closed backs can match the Dogs but open ones can. I have burned in the AP long enough to notice that. Sound stage = HD600 , Closed back ultimate bliss = AP/AD.

No offence. But considering you are a headphone supreme rated on this site. Isn't your comment that "hd600 are inferior to he560" kind of a mute point. HE560 cost £659, and hd600 are in the much lower priced bracket of £230.
