That run/style of the DT880 is going to be phased out of production. But Beyerdynamic is releasing new 2006 versions of the DT880, as well at the DT770 and DT990. Scroll further down the Meier site for more info.

Yep, saw the pics of the new models for '06. The 880 looks closed (?) Jan is out of 880's right now. Hopes to get more in. I think I will go a different route.

I agree with some of the others, I would upgrade your cables. The stock ones are rubbish. I bought the Equinox from Todd and they are amazing. They bring out details and "controls" the music.
