HD650 owners: What genre(s) of music do you enjoy on your HD650's?

Oh man, if only I could get a good setup with the 650.  I love Radiohead but I feel like I'm missing tons of little details when listening to them through my current headphones.  Maybe someday I'll get a pair

Sure the HD650 are great headphones, but that doesn't mean that they're the only functional pair manufactured. Depending on what you currently have and how much you have to spend you can always find something competent to listen with. Then again, that's probably why you're here on head-fi, right?

Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd all sound amazing through these headphones. Some people mention the HD 650 is slow, but Joe Satriani sounds very good and fast as well. They are great for all music I listen to. I don't think I will need to get a grado for my rocking out needs!

Nice! Glad I'm not the only one.

I listen to metal, hard rock, progressive rock, classic rock, rock, jazz, blues, and a little bit of electronic.

I really like the way HD650s sound with metal.

Pretty much everything barring jazz and classical, although I'd like to take my first tentative steps into those genres (just seems so daunting). The thing I've really enjoyed through the HD650 is pop. You couldn't usually get me to admit I listen to mindless fluff but it's a lot of fun on the HD650.

I don't understand genre specifics.  If I like a pair of headphones, they sound good on every single kind of music I have.  If I don't, they likely don't sound good with anything.  The only exception is if a headphone lacks bass, then music that also lacks bass may not be a problem, but even with acoustic guitar there will likely be a certain richness lacking.

Jazz and classical, for the most part. I prefer them with acoustic instruments.I don't care for them much with electric instruments as in rock, fusion jazz, etc.

I listen to prog rock mostly (in the vein of Yes and The Flower Kings). The HD650s present tons of detail, and you can really think around the sound with them.

Hey, what's wrong with pop.

Just got the HD650s and it's hard to pinpoint an exact genre that I like more than another.  It's all just so---amazing.

Deadmau5's 4x4=12 is currently one of my favorite albums on these cans, actually. . .
