Wish I could answer your message but I only have experience with the 558s which I love. They are very comfortable open phones. Mine sound great with the classical and jazz that I do much of my listening to. Although they have plenty of bass for my purposes, real bassheads often criticize these as being light on bass. Good luck in researching your choice.
If you want your " almost perfect headphones" tell us the genre or genres that you listen, and what's your priority ( Comfortable, Sound Quality, Looks) etc etc
I Can tell my one week experience with my HD558. Is a very comfortable headphone with velour pads. Open Back. I feel a good soundstage, although not excellent (Maybe because the headphones are only connected to the pc but today a fiio e11 should arrive to my home), Very balanced, great with all genres and great detail, I feel that the $179 that I paid for this headphones, were well spent.
