Hi guys,

Called up Bay Bloor Radio in Toronto, wanting pricing on the HD25-1.Was expecting maybe $250.00 -$280.00,considering how pricy BBR can be.Mr rude salesman tells me $389.00!,almost fainted. Can you beleive it?Could this be a serious mistake in their pricing?Yo lucky guys in the US can pick them up for 200 or so im told.Just had to vent.

THX

Welcome to Canadian pricing. Not surprising to me.

Case in point: Sennheiser HD600, sells for $250 USD. Price at my local stereo shop? $600 CAD (full MSRP)

Well, there must be *some* drawbacks about Canada...

If you bother to check out eBay.de (Germany) you will find several dealers offering worldwide shipping of the HD-25, and those are all prices at about €149 / CAD$210. CAD$389 is ridiculous, even considering import taxes.
If I were you, I'd order from Thomann.de (but drop them a line whether they ship to CA first...). They have the HD 25, the velour pads (#069417) & the matching OFC cable (#74532 - 3,5m & 1/4" plug though!) adding up to €177,9 / CAD$247.

This is a good price if they ship to Canada. I bought a HD 25-1 off of a headfier for a good price, then ordered velour pads and cable from Sennheiser Canada, which is quite pricey. If you can get everything from Germany in one go, it's probably your best deal for new HD 25's.

Yes, sbd. should inquire & post whether they do ship to Cananda.

You're right about the one-go affair, I'll just get in line with all the other people who recommend those upgrades, they are both truly worth to be done.

Meier Audio currently sells them $210 (incl shipping to NorthAmerica), on US/Ca eBay they sold slightly used (near-new condition) for $125-130 plus shipping during Sept-Nov. (1 or 2 a month could be found) - a pair which included microphone went for $140......

Just remember you'll almost certainly have to pay GST/PST on the declared value of the package along with the shipping. Will likely still work out cheaper, though.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum... just bought some HD-25-1s off eBay for USD$162, plus $55 for FedEx shipping to Ontario, plus GST & duties (estimated using FedEx's online ratefinder) brings the total to...

USD$241 = CAD $280

Anyone found a better price?
