I was wondering, are there any sound quality differences between these two phones?
HD201
HD201 G4ME

I'm contemplating buying either one, to pair with a TBAAM, for use with my laptop when I go visit my parents this week. I've read some older posts here on Head-Fi saying that the combo works well for the price. Does this hold true, or have newer budget combos surfaced? I think it's safe to say $75 US is the upper limit I'm willing to spend for gear that will not see full-time use.

Well my hunch is shared with you all, in that there would be no performance difference with the two.

But I guess it doesn't matter anymore since I went ahead and ordered the vanilla 201's.

When i asked the guy he said the Sound Quality is different...the HD201 G4ME produces the Gunshots much better.

But i think its a kind of Marketing usually seen with anything labelled 'Gaming'.
