Does someone have tested it with shadow or RX amp ?
How does it sound ?
I wonder if 300 ohm isn't to much for this amps...
For the insance i have just tested the shadow with GS 1000 and synergie isn't great.
I'm looking for a great (but reasonable price) headphone to drive it with one of this 2 amps.

Have both. The Shadow is too underpowered for HD650. ALO Rx is better, but still nowhere its full potential.

With either amps, you'll be much better off with a Shure SRH840. It's now my favorite easy to drive cans.

The only portables that have decent power to drive the HD650 is still the RSA SR71a, the new Govibe Sharps, and the LISA3.

Shadow certainly cannot tame d HD650. Even Mustang can't get good dynamics out of it. From my experience, powerful tube amps suits the best~

While I didn't agree with your D7000 vs. HD650 comparison in another post, I absolutely agree with your thoughts here. Nothing has made my HD650s sparkle like my tube MAD Ear+HD amp...nothing!

I just got the HD650...and did about 10 minutes with my TRIAD LISA III....works well, they are the only phones that if I wanted to listen to at full volume (not that I could for longer than a few seconds, but wanted to see how loud it could get) with the LISA I can...she has more than enough juice....I will try out my D4 very soon, just SOOO BUSY right now its killing me.
Im sure the D4 will work
