Debating on buying one of these two headphones sometime after Christmas. Will be using for competitive gaming mostly and sometimes other media stuff. I have the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD, so which one would suit me better you think?

Also, i have no AMP.

I read the Q701's soundstage is very large but seems too large and unatural? Also they are best with a AMP which i really dont want to buy. would my soundcard be sufficient enough instead of an AMP?

Thanks!

HD598 would be more suited without an amp think, but an amp is definitely reccomended for either of them, just that the AKG probably needs it a little more than the Senn

Isn't the Titanium HD quite powerful on its own? It doesn't advertise any built in amps but I sure know it's not THAT weak.

the HD598 and HD558 is well praised for gaming due to its soundstage as stated by quite a number of people,
